Highbridge Park, Bowie: A Buyer’s Guide
What to know about Highbridge Park before you buy or sell, including location, homes, schools and the questions to ask.
Where is Highbridge Park?
Highbridge Park is inside City of Bowie limits. The City lists it in Council District 2, along with Somerset, Tulip Grove, Kenilworth and Melford.
What kind of homes are in Highbridge Park?
Highbridge Park is a 1990s neighborhood, not a Levitt section. Recent listings there were built from about 1990 to 1996 and include both townhomes and single-family homes, on streets such as Gullivers Trail, Gresham Court, Gilbralter Lane and Grenfell Loop. Addresses use Bowie, MD 20720.
Asking prices on 2026 listings ran from about $425,000 for a townhome-size home to $698,000 for a five-bedroom single-family house. Asking isn’t the same as selling, so ask Bruno for the closed sales before you set a price or write an offer.
Which schools serve Highbridge Park?
Assignment is by address, not by section name, and elementary and middle school lines can split a neighborhood. Check the exact house in the PGCPS School Finder before you write an offer, and compare all Bowie schools by level.
What should buyers check in Highbridge Park?
- Water. Highbridge Park is not on the City of Bowie’s list of neighborhoods served by its own water plant, so expect WSSC Water. Confirm with the seller’s recent bills.
- Taxes. Ask whether the home is inside City of Bowie limits. Homes inside the limits pay a City property tax on top of the county rate. Our property tax explainer has the details.
- HOA. Recent Highbridge Park listings showed HOA fees of about $47 to $49 a month. Ask for the HOA disclosure package early so you see current dues, any special assessments and the rules on fences, sheds and additions.
- 30-year-old systems. Homes from the early 1990s are often on their second roof and second HVAC system, or due for one. Some houses built through the mid-1990s also have gray polybutylene water lines, which inspectors and insurers flag. Ask your inspector to check.
