The first-week basics
Electric and gas
Depending on your address, service comes from BGE, Pepco or SMECO. Ask the seller or your agent which one serves the home.
Water and sewer
Many Bowie addresses are served by the City of Bowie and others by WSSC Water. Your settlement papers usually say which.
Trash and recycling
Inside city limits, the City of Bowie Department of Public Works handles collection. Check your days at cityofbowie.org.
Schools
Use the Prince George’s County Public Schools boundary locator at pgcps.org to confirm assigned schools.
